i lately fell in love with this song called "Owls Go!" by Architecture in Helsinki. i am a total dumb on playing music but that doesn't mean i'm a cheap listener. i love quirky sounds that makes a good music. here, i show you the video clips but none of these are the official one, i failed on searching it in youtube. but these videos are amazing.

Zeke is a music director and a song writer whose also Zeke and The Popo (one of my fav indie band) vocalist. he's so talented on making music. unexpected instruments and lyrics. you can check his songs on his website zekekhaseli.com, and download his weekly songs.
i was so surprised that he bday emailed me. i dont know him in person, vice versa. but it is very nice to say happy birthday to a person whom you dont even know.

ting ting tings

i really had fun last night! me and my friends went to Soulnation to see The Ting Tings, my favorite band of all time. (i named this blog by one of their song. teehee). it was like a blast you know, i had full pressure weeks, mid terms and assignments as i told you before. oct 30th was like so far far away but then TADAAA! it's time to have some fun! I WAS SOOOO EXCITED!

we came right at the time to get on the ting ting's line. the queue was like a giant snake, super duper long. oh before that, acel forgot to bring her special show printed ticket. we were panic and looking for help. fortunately the crew was really nice that they reprinted the ticket for acel so we can enjoy the whole show. thank you :)

we watch Slank for a time and got into tingtings line instantly. was hoping that we could stand on the first row. AND WE DID! woohoooooo!!

BUT I REGRETED TO MY SELF THAT I DIDN'T BRING ANY CAMERA! ah crap. pictures from my friends blackberry are following this post later.

i hugged the barricade tightly so that no one could take my possition since it was good enough to see their performance that close. i was separated with my friends but sanya still standing beside me arm to arm. yeah no one can take our position hahaha

the show was 50 min late but worth enough to wait. we sang Indonesia Raya before the show started. and finally Jules de Martino came out wearing zippered shirt, playing the keyboard and continue hit the drums. then Katie White showed up wearing black shirt, black sequined shorts and sneakers mixed up with purple spandex leggings. YEAAAAHHHHH! they start singing We Walk.



i was really really enthusiastic and happy. i danced. i jumped. i scream. i think they got a perfect performance. i was standing infront of the camera that shoots me and sanya to the big screen. we were sweaty all over, so ugly to be seen publicly hahaha

okay, change topic, i'm home alone now, my mom and dad went to bandung. my uncle just passed away this morning :'( i'm praying the best for you om. my sister and his boyf was planning to have some dinner, she asked me to join. but then his bf came with this racing motorcylce which can only carrying two people. grrrrrrrrr. so then she made an appologize, buying me Kentucky, my favorite junk food. it means that i'm all alone on my birthday night. huhuhu

and today is just a day. i stupidly swallowed a gum. i was chewing a xylitol and suddenly realized that the gum was no longer in my mouth. HAHAHAH stupid, i know. i instantly drank water, hoped the gum will slides smoothly in my intestimes. can anybody answer, will the gum stuck in my body? i'm so curious. the final worst thing about today is that i incautiously throw my handphone to a watercloset in my campus. IT WAS THE SECOND TIME i did that disgusting thing. YUCK!! i got no option but sinked my hand into the watercloset. YUCK YUCK YUCK!!


What an ironic right, crazy for watching the ting tings vs crazy for the disgusting handphone.

don't look back in anger

pretty odd is on the making

mid test selesai, tugas selesai, tapi rasa capek dan ngantuk belum hilang. itu karena tenaga saya sangat diforsir untuk bekerja terus menerus dengan waktu tidur yang sangat minim bahkan tidak tidur sama sekali.

saya dan teman saya, oucha, mencoba iseng-iseng berhadiah dengan mengirimkan proposal business plan kami, Pretty Odd, sebuah accessory line, ke sebuah program young entrepeneur yang diadakan oleh kampus kami yang kalau tidak salah bekerja sama dengan bank niaga. oucha membuat proposal dengan penuh perjuangan ditengah terpaan tugas yang tidak ada hentinya sementara saya hanya membantu sedikit-sedikit dalam masalah pembendaharaan kata karena jujur saja saya termasuk bodoh dalam hal proposal seperti itu. pertamakali kami mengirimkan proposal itu, kami direject oleh si yang punya acara, alasannya sangat mendasar: kami salah judul acara. hahaha kami menulis young entrepeneur sementara judul program yang kami ikuti ini bukanlah itu (saya juga lupa sih). lalu si yang punya acara meminta kami untuk melengkapi proposal. dengan waktu yang lebih minim daripada kemampuan kami akhirnya proposal revisi dibuat. dikirim lah si proposal revisi itu dan lalu kami kembali menunggu dengan tidak cemas. kami terlalu sibuk dengan urusan kuliah untuk mengingat riwayat hidup proposal kami itu sampai suatu siang saya ditelefon oleh seorang laki-laki.

L: halo, dengan dinda?
D: iya
L; kami dari young entrepenuer mau kasih tau kalo kamu sama temen kamu rossa masuk ke tahap interview bussiness
D: hah serius?
L: iya, blablabla..

lalu kami diinterview, menunggu dari jam 9 pagi dan baru masuk runag interview jam setengah 12 padahal saat itu saya harus syuting tugas PSA. menunggu dengan sangat tidak sabar, akhirnya kami dipanggil masuk. haha hihi ini itu begini begitu, selesai. saya hanya diinterview 10 menit! padahal kelompok2 sebelumnya (sebelum saya ada 4) diinterview masing2 selama 45 menit. apakah ini pertanda sesuatu? saat itu kami tidak tau.

dan kemarin saya sedang berusaha untuk tidak tertidur di dalam kereta ekonomi saat pergi ke kampus, handphone saya bergetar. biasanya saya paling malas untuk mengangkat telefon di kereta tapi entah kenapa hari itu saya memutuskan untuk bicara dengan si penelefon.

L: halo
D: iya halo
L: dinda ini saya XXX dari young entrepeneur
D: oh iya (masih belum sadar saya bicara sama siapa karena mesin kereta yang sangat berisik)
L: sebelumnya saya mau kasih selamet, kamu sama rossa lolos young entrepeneur, jadi kamu berhak untuk dapat uangnya.
D: HAH SERIUSSSSS?????

saya sangat amat terkejut karena saya dan oucha tadinya hanya iseng dan kalau dapat alhamdulillah. dan ternyata kami dapat uangnya. jadi, young entrepeneur ini adalah sebuah program yang akan membiayai bussiness plan kita. uangnya berbentuk hibah jadi kami tidak diharuskan untuk mengembalikan uang itu, modalnya untuk kami, jadi kami tinggal menjalankan bisnis saja.

waw. ini sangat menarik. rasanya sangat mudah, padahal ternyata tidak begitu. ada 90 kelompok yang mengirimkan proposal dan 25 kelompok masuk ke tahap interview dan hanya 12 kelompok yang disetujui untuk diberi modal, termasuk kami, Pretty Odd.

ini adalah salah satu mimpi saya dan oucha, memiliki bisnis dari hobi. semoga jalan kami lancar ya. oh iya, setelah dari rektorat, kami melewati salah satu danau yang ada di kampus, lalu menyempatkan untuk foto2 sedikit.








dua hari lagi saya berulang tahun. oh tidak itu berarti umur saya berkepala dua!

type typing typo

these are my artworks for print ad execution mid test. it's about typography which is so fun to do.

the first pict is me. the lecturer asked us to make a typography picture that represent ourselves. i really want to colour it but the brief says black and white.

the second is a typography illustration. read a poem then make the illustration. the poem is Syair empat kartu di tangan by Taufik Ismail. it's about a man who is really materialistic.

the third is a 3D typography which should represent a hotness of PANAS MEMBARA. it should be orange red with fire flare and black background but something stupid happened while uploading, so it turned out blue which looks so cold. -_-'

the final artwork is a movie poster. the lecturer asked us to remake KALA movie poster. the mandatory is the producer's name and the casts. fyi, it's a thriller movie.

okay, this is my first typography project. more typo is on the go! :D
